Question: What can a book do for my business?
Answer: A book is a terrific marketing tool for any coach, consultant, speaker, or small business owner.  That book gives your potential customers a low risk way to learn about you, understand your philosophy, view your expertise, and determine if you can help them.

Quite frankly, your book makes you look better than your competitors.  People assume that when you have a book, you have superior knowledge, dedication, discipline, and can complete a complicated, big project.  People want to work with an expert.  Your book showcases YOU as the expert in your field.

Your book works for you 24/7.  It can be listed on your website and sold on Amazon.com. If you want to call on the owner of a large corporation, sending a note and a copy of your book is much more impressive than a simple cold call.  Imagine how impressed people would be if you gave them a free copy of your book at a networking meeting instead of a business card.

Additionally, you book can be a source of free publicity and media coverage.  When you are an author, you are viewed as an expert with valuable information to share with the public.  Radio, television, and newspaper reporters will be interested in sharing your information with their audience.  That free publicity can be one of the best sources of new clients and additional revenue for any business.

Finally, you can develop products and services customers can buy after they finish your book.  Audios, special reports, membership sites, seminars, workshops, keynote addresses, self study courses, and coaching programs can all be created based on the material in your book to bring you additional streams of income from your knowledge.

Question: Isn’t it really hard to write a book?
Answer:

No, not when you are writing about something that you already know and you have a system to help you.

There are many tips and techniques that can help you write a book quickly and still maintain your busy schedule.  You don’t have to quit your job or go live in a cave to write a book.

However, writing a book can be a heartbreaking experience if you don’t know what you are doing.  There is nothing worse than a basement full of unsold books.  You feel like a loser every time you pass by them.  The worst thing you can do is sit down at your computer one day and decide to write a book.

To write a SUCCESSFUL book, you need a system and know-how.  We can supply both so that you don’t fail around wasting your time and money on a book that no one wants to buy.

Question: Once my book is written, how do I get it published?
Answer:

You have 3 options:

  1. You can get a literary agent to represent you and request that a traditional publishing house buy your book and publish it.  This process generally takes at least 2 years before your book is ready to be sold.  The publishing house will own your book, make all the decisions about its production, and pay you a small royalty for each copy sold, generally 7%-8% of the cover price.

  2. You can set up your own publishing company and self publish your book. This is a good option if you like working with books and plan to write several. If you want to self publish and would like some skillful guidance, we can easily coach you through the process so that you can avoid costly and embarrassing newbie mistakes.

  3. Your other option is to outsource your publishing.  We publish business building books; in fact, those are the only kind of books we publish.

If you want the creative control, profit margin, and speed of self publishing, but don’t want to actually do the grunt work, let us publish your book for you.  We can take it from edited manuscript to beautiful, professionally constructed book in 60-90 days, if your book meets our criteria.

Question: Can you help me sell my book?
Answer:

You Bet!

he author is the best sales person for any book.  While we can’t sell your book for you, we are delighted to help you by designing a website for you to sell your book, creating some strategies to drive traffic to that website, getting your book listed on Amazon.com, and managing the distribution of your books to your customers.

We can also do a Virtual Book Tour- an online interview showcasing you and your book.  For an example of a Virtual Book tour we produced recently go to www.askjannow.com.

Question: Is there anything you can’t do for me?
Answer:

Great question!

  1. We do not place new books in book stores.

Placing books in book stores is a huge financial risk for a new author.  We never recommend it until your book is selling briskly on-line and on via personal appearances.  You need to get a steady stream of book sales before a bookstore owner will seriously consider your book.

However, anyone who hears about your book can walk into any local book store and order it from Ingram, our distributor, as soon as it is printed.  In that way, customers have the convenience of getting your book from their favorite book store and you are spared the cost and stress of working with middlemen, cases of unsold, damaged books that you have to pay to be destroyed, and late payments.

  2. We do not publish children’s books, romance novels, cook books, fiction, poetry, or coffee table books. Our specialty is non-fiction business building books including;

      How-to books
      Self-help books
      Books on spirituality
      Personal development books
      Business books

If you are wondering if your book is a good fit for our services, give us a call for an appointment.  We can set up a consultation to review your book project and determine if it is a good fit for our company.
